Reset The Palm Treo 750

Resetting the Palm Treo 750 brings the Treo's software and operating system back to its original condition. This is known as a hard, hot or factory reset. It is usually performed in one of two circumstances: you are having a software issue with your phone that you cannot resolve, or you want to sell or give the device to another person and need to remove your personal programs and user data.

Instructions

1. Verify that you want to perform a hard reset. This will delete all of your programs and personal information. If you want to perform a soft reset instead (turn the Palm off then back on without deleting your programs and information), see the "Tips" section.

2. Open the plastic flap on the right side of the Treo 750. This is the slot that houses your memory card. Behind the flap, you'll find a red "Reset" button.

3. Push and hold the Palm's "Power" button and the "Reset" button simultaneously. After five to 10 seconds, you'll see the Palm start-up screen and a warning prompt appear.

4. Select "Yes" to perform the hard reset and erase all of your Treo's data. Select "No" if you have decided against it.
