Play An Iphone 3g Through A Car Stereo

The iPhone 3G allows you do more than place and accept phone calls. As with previous versions of the iPhone, you can listen to music using the 3G. If you're going on a long trip or just don't like listening to AM or FM radio, you might wish to listen to the music on your 3G while in the car. In order to do this, you will need to acquire and use a device that let you play an iPhone 3G through a car stereo.

Instructions

1. Start by purchasing an FM transmitter compatible with the iPhone 3G. This is the device that is needed in order to play your iPhone through a car stereo.

2. Plug the auxiliary connection of the FM transmitter cord on the iPhone 3G into the headphones connection on the iPhone 3G.

3. Plug the opposite end of the FM transmitter cord into the cigarette lighter socket on your car.

4. Set the FM station on the FM transmitter by pressing the two scroll buttons on the front of the transmitter. Different transmitters will recommend different settings so you should consult the user manual that came with the FM transmitter in order to find the perfect station. For most transmitters, you will need to set the station between 87.9 FM and 88.9 FM.

5. Tune the radio of your car stereo to the same FM station you chose for the FM transmitter in step 4. Once you do this, you can start playing music on the iPhone 3G. You will hear the music through your car stereo speakers.
