Featuring a touchscreen and cellular data network support, the Palm Pre allows you to download a variety of applications. Unlike its competitors, the Palm Pre is only capable of downloading and installing applications directly through the phone, rather than through a desktop-based application. Additionally, the Palm Pre does not support downloading applications outside of Palm's applications market.
Instructions
1. Turn on your Palm Pre and tap the "App Catalog" icon on the start screen. Select "Accept" to agree to the terms and conditions of Palm's application market.
2. Browse the "App Catalog" by using the search option or by tapping "Categories."
3. Access an application's details page by highlighting the app icon and pressing the "Enter" button.
4. Tap "Download" to download the application. If the app costs money and you have not yet set up a billing account, tap "Continue" and follow the prompts to set up a billing account. The process will require you to provide your personal information, including your debit or credit card number. Tap "OK" to download. The app appears in your application library.
