Fix Grainy Pictures From A Kodak C613 Camera

Digital camera

The Kodak EASYSHARE C613 is a digital camera that comes equipped with a 6.2 MP CCD, 3x optical zoom, 5x digital zoom, six levels of ISO sensitivity, five preset white balance settings and a 2.4-inch LCD display. If the pictures you take with your C613 appear grainy, the problem may lie with certain improperly configured settings. With a little trial and error, you may be able to locate and correct the underlying issue and achieve more satisfactory results with your photography.

Instructions

Troubleshooting

1. Press the "MENU" button, located to the right of the camera's LCD screen. Use the navigation buttons to select the option labeled "Exposure Compensation" and press the "OK" button. Adjust the settings and preview the results of your changes on the LCD screen. Press "OK" to confirm your selection.

2. Select the option labeled "Picture Size" and press "OK." Confirm that the "6.1 MP (default)" setting is selected. Press "OK" to confirm any changes.

3. Select the option labeled "ISO Speed" and adjust the current settings according to the amount of available light (if you are shooting in low light, choose a higher ISO speed, and vice versa). If you are uncertain which setting to use, select "AUTO." Press "OK" to save your settings.

4. Select the option labeled "Settings." Navigate to the option labeled "Blur Warning" and confirm that the "On" setting is enabled. Press "OK" to save your settings, then press "MENU" to exit the menu screen.

5. Turn the camera's mode dial to the appropriate option for the type of picture you are planning to take. Point the camera at your subject and use the LCD display to frame your image. If necessary, use the zoom buttons (located in the upper-right corner of the camera's rear panel) to zoom in on your subject; check the zoom setting (displayed in the upper-right corner of the LCD display) and keep the zoom setting out of the range labeled "D" to avoid triggering the digital zoom.

6. Examine the top of the LCD display and locate the "blur warning" icon (an image of a hand next to two curved lines). If the icon is not lit green, this indicates that the image may come out less sharp than desired; try shooting from a different angle or location.

7. Press the shutter button halfway down and wait for the green frame lines to appear on the camera's LCD display. Press the shutter button the rest of the way down to finish taking your photograph.
