These days it's important to monitor what children are seeing on television. Luckily, with today's technology, it's easy to block channels that may broadcast programming that is inappropriate to children. These steps block channels on a Panasonic 720p Plasma HDTV.

1. Press the "menu" button on your remote control. This will display the menu. From here use your down arrow key to scroll down to the "lock" option. From this option you will get a message to enter your four digit password.


2. Key in your four digit password. If you have never selected a password before, you will have to enter it twice to verify what you want it to be in the future.


3. Select the lock mode of your preference using the arrow keys on the remote control. "Off" will unlock all channels, "All" will block all, and "Custom" will allow you to block specific channels, which is what most people will want to do.


4. Scroll down to "channel" once the mode is selected. (If you have selected "custom") Use the arrow keys on your remote control to choose which channels you will block.








5. Press OK to set all the channels you have selected into blocked mode. Keep your password handy in the event you would like to change those options in the future.
