Transfer Photos From A Pc To A Memory Card In Windows

Moving photos to a memory card is simple.

While most of the time you will be moving photos from your memory card to your computer, there are times when you will want to put certain photos from a computer back on to your memory card. Perhaps you need to move a large batch of photos to a different computer, or maybe you want the photos back on your camera to use some feature there. Either way, it is a very simple process to transfer photos from a PC to a memory card.

Instructions

1. Plug your memory card into your computer. You can either use an external memory card reader or a memory card reader slot directly in your computer, if it has one.

2. Access the memory disk folder. Most Windows computers will give you an AutoPlay option menu. If this pops up, click "Open Folder to View Files." If this menu does not open automatically, open "Computer" and click on the letter name assigned to your memory card.

3. Select the photos you wish to move by clicking on them. To select more than one at a time, click on each photo while holding down "Ctrl" on your keyboard. Right-click on the selected photos and click "Copy."

4. Return to the memory card folder. Right-click anywhere in the folder and in the context menu, and click "Paste." Wait until the photos finish copying before ejecting and removing your memory card. If you like, you can now delete the photos from your computer.
