Program Icons In Windows Mobile

When a program is installed on a Windows Mobile device, an icon is automatically created on the programs menu which can then be tapped to launch the program. However, many amateur programmers write games and other applications for Windows Mobile which do not have installation programs that create shortcuts. Add a shortcut to your Programs menu to create an icon that points to a program on your Windows Mobile device.

Instructions

1. Tap "Start," "Programs" and "File Explorer." Browse to the folder containing the program for which you would like to add a shortcut icon.

2. Tap and hold on the program until the secondary menu appears, then tap "Copy."

3. Tap the drop down menu in the upper left corner of the screen, then tap "My Device" to return to the root folder of your device.

4. Tap "Windows," "Start Menu" and "Programs."

5. Tap and hold inside an open area of the "Programs" folder, then tap "Paste Shortcut." A shortcut icon will appear. Close the window.

6. Tap "Start," then tap "Programs." Your new shortcut icon will be on the Programs menu.
