Make Ringtones For A V3m

The V3M is a popular cellular phone offered by Motorola. One of the popular brand of Razr flip phones, the V3M can support a small library of songs to be used as ringtones. While ringtones can be purchased online, or transported to the phone using more creative and difficult methods, Motorola allows phone owners to transport ringtones to the V3M using only a USB cable and the convenient Motorola Phone Tools application.

Instructions

The Steps

1. Connect your V3M to your computer with a USB cable and allow the Motorola Phone Tools to launch on your desktop.

2. Click the bell icon on the left side of the Phone Tools homepage menu. This icon is for the Melody Studio module.

3. Click the Melody Files menu to browse your computer for songs to be used as ringtones.

4. Find a song, double-click on it and click on the virtual bar representation of the song under the "Selection" menu on the bottom of the screen.

5. Drag the cursors to different sections of the song to choose a portion of 30 seconds or less and click the Play button to preview your clip.

6. Click "Save selection as..." and type in a name for your file and click "Save." Your song will now be saved to your phone, available for assigning as a ringtone.
