Retrieve My Deleted Contacts If My Boost Phone Doesn'T Have A Memory Card

Without a memory card installed, it is possible to retrieve contacts once they have been deleted from your Boost Mobile cellphone, but not directly from the phone's memory. The methods that enable you to retrieve lost contact data involve using third-party applications and tapping into the phone's connectivity features, such as its Wi-Fi or mobile email capabilities.

Google Sync

Some Boost Mobile cellphones support Google Sync, an application designed to wirelessly synchronize data between a mobile phone and personal computer. Using Google Sync in conjunction with a PC and your Boost Mobile cellphone can help you avoid losing contact data once it's been deleted from your phone. In essence, Google Sync enables the devices to act as a backup to each other should files be inadvertently deleted. In addition to contact information, Google Sync also allows you to synchronize and transfer email and calendar files between your phone and PC.

Email Applications

Mobile email applications, such as Yahoo Mail or Gmail, allow you to synchronize data, such as contact files, without needing to establish a wireless or wired connection. The mobile version of an online email account gives you access to the email account and its contact data, keeping the data in the mobile application and in the phone's memory. If you accidentally delete a contact from your Boost Mobile cellphone, the device's phone book application can interface with your email account, giving you the ability to retrieve the lost information and to integrate it into the application.

Bluetooth

Boost Mobile cellphones that do not have a memory card installed and that contain Bluetooth technology have another way to retrieve lost contact data once it has been deleted. For example, if your Boost phone comes with the Bluetooth Phone Book Access Profile installed, it can wirelessly transfer contact files with another mobile device. If you have shared contact files with another mobile phone using this feature, you can retrieve it from the device with which the data was shared using the same method originally used to transfer the file.

Considerations

Installing a memory card into a Boost Mobile cellphone not only allows you to save contact data to the card, but also gives you more room for adding additional files to the phone, such as music, pictures and videos. Using more than one memory card with the mobile phone can also help you avoid losing contact information if it is inadvertently deleted. If you choose to do this, use one card to support contact information only and the other for adding other content to the device.
