Brighten A Dark Screen On A Casio Exilim Camera

Adjusting the LCD screen's brightness setting will ease viewing of the screen.

The Casio Exilim digital camera has an LCD screen that requires different brightness settings. Adjusting the brightness will make it easier to see images on the LCD screen. All Casio Exilim digital cameras follow the same steps to change the screen's brightness. Generally, you will need to adjust the brightness for outdoor use or in bright lighting situations.

Instructions

Adjusting the LCD Brightness

1. Press "Menu."

2. Click "Set Up Tab."

3. Click "Screen."

4. Set a brightness option. "Auto 1" and "Auto 2" settings automatically adjust the screen's brightness for surrounding brightness. "Auto 2" reacts more quickly than "Auto 1." You also can set the brightness manually. The setting for a normal indoor environment is "0," while "+1" is the setting for outdoors or any lighting that is brighter than needed in normal mode. The setting can be increased to "+2" if the "+1" setting does not improve the image's brightness. This setting also will drain the battery faster. If you are using a Casio Exilim H-10, there is an additional setting of "-1". This setting is used when viewing images in extreme dark and is designed to not disturb those around you.
