Upload My Dvd Cam Dvds Into My Computer

Import your recorded video onto your computer.

Several brands of video games record onto a miniDVD. These discs function just like a standard DVD, although the disc is roughly a third of the size. Once you have the finished recording of the video onto the miniDVD it is possible to upload the videos onto your computer. It is actually far easier uploading the contents from a DVD than a miniDV tape, because with a tape you must use a video editor while with the DVD the videos are saved as their own individual files and import without any additional programming.

Instructions

1. Insert the miniDVD into the disc tray of your computer. You must use a computer with a disc tray and not an insert slot (such as found on MacBooks). These do not accept miniDVDs.

2. Click "Start," (My) "Computer" and double-click the DVD icon. A window appears with all of the video files stored on the disc.

3. Click-and-drag over all of the files on the DVD. This highlights all of the files. Right-click inside one of the highlighted files and choose "Copy."

4. Navigate to the location on your computer where you want to import the video files. Right-click in the location and choose "Paste." The video files from the DVD import onto your computer.
