Send a text message via email to Cingular cell phones
Cingular is a mobile phone company that was merged with the AT&T and BellSouth brands in late 2006 to become AT&T Wireless. Cingular customers had the option of remaining with the newly formed company and keeping their Cingular cell phones and cell phone numbers. Cingular phones with the ability to receive phone text messages can also receive texts sent from email clients. The method for emailing a Cingular customer varies based upon the management of the customer's Cingular account after the merger.
