Cydia is a store application that can be accessed on "jailbroken," or unlocked, iPhones. The store is similar to the proprietary iPhone App store from Apple, but offers a number of hacker-community applications (apps) that are designed to be used on the iPhone. These applications can range in type from games to social networking applications. Apps are downloaded and installed on the iPhone in a similar manner as they would be from the Apple App Store. The process of launching apps from Cydia is fairly straightforward.
Instructions
1. Tap the "Cydia" application icon on the iPhone screen to launch the application.
2. Tap the "Install" option at the bottom of the screen, then scroll through the Categories and Application types to locate the application of your choosing. Tap on the application name that you want. This will open its individual Install screen.
3. Tap on the "Install" button in the upper left-hand corner of the screen, then tap the "Confirm" button to initiate the install. The app will automatically download and install to the iPhone and the app icon will appear on the iPhone display screen.
4. Tap the app's icon on the iPhone screen once the install is complete to launch it.
