Use A Digital Photo Frame With A Non Digital Camera

You can often upload hundreds of digital pictures to a digital photo frame.

A digital photo frame is used to replicated stored digital images that are saved on the device's memory card (typically either a USB flash drive or SD memory card). Although it is far easier to simply upload digital images to the memory card, you can use the pictures taken by a film camera. You just need to first convert the images to a digital format, which then allows you to upload the pictures to the digital photo frame's memory card.

Instructions

1. Take your film pictures into a local developing location and convert the pictures to a CD. This typically only costs a few dollars, although the exact price may vary, depending on your location.

2. Insert the CD with the pictures into the disc drive of your computer. Click "Start," "Computer" and double-click the CD icon. A window will load with all the stored film images.

3. Connect the digital photo frame's memory card to your computer. If it is a flash drive, just plug the USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer. If the photo frame uses an SD card, plug an SD card reader into a USB port on the computer, then insert the SD card into the reader.

4. Return to "Computer" (leave the CD window open for the time being), then double-click the removable device icon. Once open, click-and-drag the images from the CD window over into the removable device window.

5. Close the windows once the files have finished uploading to the memory card and eject the memory card from the computer. Plug it into the digital photo frame and the images will appear on its display screen.
