Converting film into a digital format on a DVD will allow you to watch it on a DVD player.
A 35mm film negative is not compatible with devices used in a home theater or with a computer. Hence, it is a good idea to convert film to DVD so that it can be viewed on any DVD player. You will need a USB film scanner that attaches to a PC or Mac computer and a DVD burning program to copy the digital picture file created from the film onto a DVD. USB film scanners are affordable and easy to find, both online and in brick-and-mortar electronics and camera retail stores.
