If your satellite receiver has a hard drive, you may find that you can transfer the data to your computer and burn to a CD-RW. There are a few ways to find out if you can copy the data to your computer. The satellite receiver must either have an Ethernet port or a USB port for this process to work. Once you've transferred your video data to your computer, you will be able to copy it to a CD-RW. This will not work on all satellite receivers, but it can be worth checking.
Instructions
USB "Computer."
3. Double-click the new folder or drive that has appeared. You may be able to browse through your recorded programs. Select the programs you want to copy. Press "Ctrl"+"C."
4. Insert a blank CD-RW into your computer. Click "Burn files to disc using Windows Explorer." Click "With a CD/DVD Player." Click "Next." Enter a name. Click "Next."
5. Press "Ctrl"+"V" to paste the files. Click "Burn to disc."
