The Sanyo Katana cell phone is a sleek and stylish phone modeled after a Samurai sword. The phone may not help you in an ancient Japanese war, but it does have some key features like a built in digital camera, external LCD display and Bluetooth functionality that make it worth your time.
Instructions
1. Learn your Katana's hardware and layout. When the phone is closed, on the front you will find the camera lens and external LCD display and on the back is where the battery and the external speaker are located. Open the phone and you will find the earpiece at the top, the internal LCD display, the navigation and keypad buttons, the microphone at the bottom and the internal antenna is in the base of the phone.
2. Charge your Katana before you do anything with it after you get it home. Once the phone is charged, turn it on by pressing the END button found on the upper-right of the keypad. Press the same button and hold it to turn your Katana off.
3. Make some calls. To call someone, all you have to do is dial the number and press the TALK key. You can use the BACK key to erase a number if you make an error while inputting the number. To hang up the call, press the END button or close your phone.
4. Navigate your phone's menus. Press up or down on the navigation key to get into your menu. Scroll through the different menu options and press the MENU OK button to select an option.
5. Take some pictures with your Katana. To activate your phone, press the menu button, then select pictures and then camera. You can also press the camera button on the side of the phone twice or hold it down to activate the camera. Press the capture key or the camera key to take a picture. You should hear a shutter sound when the picture takes.
6. Enable Bluetooth if you are using Bluetooth devices with your phone. Press MENU, then go to settings, then Bluetooth and select "enable." Next, you need to pair a Bluetooth device with your Katana. Press MENU, then go to tools, Bluetooth, add new and press "search." If your Bluetooth device is turned on, it should appear in the list and you should be able to pair it with the phone.
