An older scanner also sold under the Radio Shack brand name, the Realistic Pro 2020 offers a digital frequency display and receives a substantial range of ultra high frequency (UHF) and very high frequency (VHF) frequencies.
Memory Specifications
The Realistic Pro 2020 scanner can store up to 20 specific frequencies in its memory, according to Universal Radio, Inc.. For example, you could set it to remember two bus frequencies, seven aircraft channels, 10 police frequencies, and one amateur radio channel.
Built-in Functions
Radio Shack indicates that this scanner offers a squelch control, a delay function, a frequency lockout and a numeric keypad. It also features an adjustable scanning speed and priority settings.
Band Specifications
According to Radio Shack, the Realistic Pro 2020 scanner covers 410 to 512 megahertz (MHz) UHF and the following VHF bands: 138 to 174, 108 to 136 and 30 to 50 MHz. These ranges include National Ocean and Atmospheric Administratin (NOAA) weather broadcasts, the 2-meter amateur band and local emergency communications, among other things.
