The Canon Powershot SD1100 digital camera allows you to take pictures and videos with incredible ease. Whether you're a novice or an expert, the Powershot is built to take great pictures quickly and without hassle. Once you're finished taking your pictures or videos, you can easily view your pictures on the camera screen to see which ones are keepers.
Instructions
Camera Preperations
1. Charge your battery before using your camera. Slide the battery into the battery charger, ensuring that the two triangles align properly in the charger. Plug the battery charger into an outlet. The battery is completely charged when the charging light changes from orange to green. The battery will take about an hour and a half to fully charge.
2. Insert the battery into the camera. Slide the battery cover to open it. Insert the battery into the slot with the triangle on the battery facing down. Push down on the battery until it locks into place.
3. Insert the memory card. Open the battery cover as in Step 2. Insert the memory card into the camera and push the memory card down until you hear it snap into place. Slide the Battery cover back on.
4. Press the "Power" button to turn your camera on.
Taking Pictures
5. Move the camera mode switch to the "Camera" icon. This switch is located on the right side of the back of the camera above the menu buttons.
6. Press the "Func. Set" button on your camera below the mode switch.
7. Press the "Right" or "Left" arrows to select your shooting modes and flash options.
8. Press the "Func. Set" button again to exit the "Function" screen.
9. Point your camera at the subject and press the "Shutter" button down half way to auto-focus the picture. Your camera will beep twice when it is focused. Press the "Shutter" button down all the way when the camera beeps twice to take a picture.
View Pictures
10. Move the camera mode switch to the "Play Arrow" icon.
11. Press the "Right" or "Left" arrows to scroll through your pictures.
12. Press the "Trash Can" icon below the "Func. Set" button to erase specific pictures. Press the "Func. Set" button to confirm you want to erase the picture. If you change your mind, use the "Left" arrow button to highlight "Cancel," then press the "Func. Set" button.
Taking Videos
13. Move the camera mode switch to the "Movie Camera" icon.
14. Point your camera at the subjects or scene you want to record.
15. Press the shutter button down halfway to focus the camera. When the camera beeps twice, press the Shutter button all the way down to start the recording.
16. Press the Shutter button down completely to stop the recording.
17.View your movies. Move the camera mode switch to the "Play Arrow" icon. Press the "Func. Set" button when the video appears on your camera screen to play the video.
