Wire A Turner 2 Mic

Microphones that are manufactured by Turner use relay switching or electronic switching, depending on the internal wiring. Relay switching is used on an M + 2/U Mobile Microphone. Wiring your Turner microphone will require soldering wires to the switch that is located inside the microphone housing. To do this you will need first to obtain the microphone cable that you want to wire.

Instructions

1. Locate the four screws that are used to secure the rear housing. Remove these screws from the housing with the screwdriver.

2. Set the microphone face-down on a table or desk. Slide off the rear housing to expose the switch.

3. Remove 3/4-inch of insulation from the end of the microphone cable with the wire strippers. Strip 1/4-inch of insulation from the white wire, black wire, red wire and the ground wire.

4. Solder the white wire of the microphone cable to the post above the "33K" resistor. Solder the red wire to the middle post on the bottom of the switch.

5. Solder the black wire to the right post on the bottom of the switch. Solder the remaining ground wire to the post under the "0.1" capacitor.

6. Slide the rear housing back into place. Secure the rear housing by tightening the screws.
