Get Free Antivirus Protection With Comcast

If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is Comcast you have access to free anti-virus protection for your computers via Norton Security. Download the software in four easy steps.

Instructions

1. Remove any other virus protection programs from your computer before you get started. Two different virus programs on your computer will clash and you won't be able to download one, if the other is present. Each program competes for control over your computer and can cause errors. More often than not, you will be prompted to remove the competing program at the start of your download.

2. You will need to use your Comcast email in order to download Norton for free. If you have never used an email through your ISP, call tech support (800-COMCAST). After verifying your account information the tech support representative will be able to give you your email address.

3. Go to the Comcast.net website (Comcast.com is for bill paying and other features, excluding email). In the top right portion of the page click on the Security link.

4. Once you click on the link, you will see Get Protected. Below that you will see a Get Norton Now button. Here is where you will be prompted to log in with your Comcast user name (email address) and your password. After successfully entering your password information the user-friendly download wizard will start.

Tips Warnings

Previously Comcast offered McAfee Virus protection for free. If you downloaded McAfee you can switch to Norton and as part of the download McAfee will be removed from your Computer.
