Resize Digital Photos To Fit The Display On A Digital Photo Frame

Digital photo frames allow you to upload a number of photos for viewing.

Digital photo frames are a great way to display and view your family pictures from a recent event or family vacation. They are designed to run like a slide show. If you are loading pictures onto the frames memory you should re-size the pictures to match the size of the frame. Doing this will allow you to store more pictures onto the digital frame, since each file will be smaller in size. The free Microsoft Image Resizer can do this.

Instructions

1. Download and install the free Microsoft Image Resizer to your computer. Once installed, open the program on your computer.

2. Check the size of your digital photo frame. If you have a frame with a screen size of six inches or smaller along the longest side, then you will want to resize the pictures to 480 x 234 pixels. If your screen size is between 6 to 11 inches on the longest side you will want to resize your pictures to 800 x 400 pixels. For larger screens that are 12 to 17 inches on the longest side, resize your pictures to 1024 x 768 pixels.

3. Open the picture folder you want to resize. To resize multiple photos, click on the first photo with your mouse, then hold down the "Shift" key and click on the last photo. This will select all the photos you want resized. Right-click on any of selected photos and select "Resize photos." A menu box will come up with four sizing options: small, medium, large and handheld PC. Select the appropriate size, click "OK" and the program will resize your photos.
