Hp Photosmart Printer Installation

The HP Photosmart is a series of all-in-one printers capable of not just printing, but also scanning, copying and faxing. Each Photosmart model, such as the C3180 and C7280, features a unique design with similar features. Included with each version of the HP Photosmart are all the materials required to install the printer, including the USB cable and installation disc. The installation disc includes the drivers necessary to install the printer, along with a configuration utility that helps to configure your personal printing, scanning and faxing preferences.

Instructions

1. Remove the protection tape found on various sections of the printer, such as inside the cartridge door and on the scanning glass.

2. Connect the large, square end of the AC adapter to the back of the printer and connect the opposite end into an AC wall outlet. Press the "Power" button to turn the printer on.

3. Slide out the tray extender and insert no more than 20 sheets of paper into the paper tray. Open the cartridge door and insert the color and blank ink cartridges into their respective slots as indicated by the signs on front of the slots. Close the cartridge door.

4. Insert the installation disc that comes with the printer into the computer's disc drive. Follow the on-screen instructions and connect the USB cable to the printer and the computer when prompted. Complete the software installation as requested on-screen. You will be instructed and shown calibrate the ink settings and to test the other features of your version of the HP Photosmart.
