Use A Canon 50d Ib

The Canon 50D has a 15 megapixel sensor.

Released in 2008 the Canon 50D is the replacement for the Canon 40D in their "Pro-sumer" line of digital single lens reflex (DSLR) cameras. The "Pro-sumer" name was developed to identify the line of cameras that are positioned between Canon's entry level DSLRs, the Rebel line. And their professional 1D/1Ds line of cameras. The 50D has a new 15 megapixel digital sensor and a new "DIGIC Four" internal processor. The Canon 50D is compatible with all of Canon's "EF" lenses and their line of external "Speedlite" flash units.

Instructions

1. Install a fully charged battery and an empty compact flash memory card into the camera and turn it on.

2. Turn the exposure mode dial on the top left of the camera to select the shooting mode you want to use to take pictures. The camera has a number of shooting modes plus two customizable settings where you can set up the camera the way you want and save the settings for easy access in the future.

3. Press the second from the left button on the top right hand side of the camera to set the camera's white balance. One of the greatest advantages of a digital camera is the ability to easily change the white balance for the conditions you are shooting in. If you are shooting outside, set the white balance to "Daylight," which is identified with small sun icon. If you move indoors into an office or school, you can press the same button and change the setting to "Fluorescent," which is identified with a rectangular icon that looks like a fluorescent light tube.

4. Attach a lens to the front of camera by lining up the red dot on the barrel of the lens with the red dot on the camera's mounting ring and rotate the lens clockwise until it locks into place. If the lens has a "AF/MF" switch, make sure the lens is set to "AF" for auto focus.

5. Hold the camera to your eye and press the shutter release half way to activate the camera's auto focus and metering programs. Once you have composed the picture to your liking, press the shutter release the rest of the way to take the picture.
