Make A Moving Photo Viewer

A moving picture viewer can be used to share the photos from a digital camera.

A photo gallery or slideshow is used to show a rotating collection of photos. An easy way to create a slideshow is to upload your photos to a website, such as Flickr, and open them as a slideshow. This is useful if you want to share your photos with your online friends. You can also download software to create a photo viewer that runs on your computer. Windows Media Player and Picasa are often used to create a moving photo viewer from photo albums on your computer.

Instructions

Flickr

1. Open the Flickr webite in a browser (see Resources).

2. Register as a new user for the site. If you have a Yahoo or Google account, you can use these details to use the site immediately.

3. Log in to the site, click on "Upload" in the top menu and upload photos for the photo viewer.

4. Click on "Create a New Set" to group the individual photos into an album or set.

5. Click on "slideshow" to run the set as a moving gallery.

Picasa

6. Download Picasa from its website and install on your computer (see Resources).

7. Open the Picasa application.

8. Select the photos you would like to include in an album.

9. Click on "Play Fullscreen Slideshow" button, at top of the page. The application will loop through the photos in your album

Windows Media Player

10. Download Windows Media Player and install on your computer (see Resources).

11. Open Windows Explorer folder. Navigate to the folder where the photos are located.

12. Right-click on the folder and choose the option "Play with Windows Media Player." A slideshow will run and show all of the photos in the folder.
