Change Oakley Bottlecap Lenses

Replace the lenses on your pair of Oakley Bottlecap sunglasses.

Oakley makes many different styles of sunglasses that are meant to be worn while participating in myriad sports. Several Oakley styles offer interchangeable lenses so the user can adjust for the sport they are playing, as well as the game time forecast. Swapping out your Oakley Bottlecap lenses takes just a a couple of minutes.

Instructions

1. Hold the frame of the sunglasses upside down in the palm of your dominant hand.

2. Place your index finger against the side of the glasses' arm and your thumb over the center of where the lens is secured into the frame, near the bridge of the nose.

3. Grasp the base of the lens with your other hand with your index, middle finger and thumb.

4. Flex the frame by pulling down on your index finger along the arm, while simultaneously pressing your thumb upward against the nose of the frame. This will create a gap at the side of the frame.

5. Slide the lens toward the gap until it pops out. Set the lens aside.

6. Insert the replacement lens. With the frame still flexed, insert the replacement lens by securing the side of the lens into the frame track by the bridge of the nose. Align the lens by the corner of the frame, near the arm. As you release the frame with your index finger and thumb, the lens will secure into place.
