Remove The Digital Date On Kodak Photos

A date stamp on a photo can be distracting and unflattering.

A date stamp on a camera can be good to have if you want to remember when a photo was taken. Sometimes a date can be an annoyance and ruin the overall look of a photo. If you wish to remove the date from a photo that has already been taken with a date on it, this can be done with photo-editing software and the use of a clone or rubber stamp tool.

Instructions

1. Open the photo from which you want to remove the date in your editing software.

2. Zoom in on the area where the date stamp is located.

3. Click the clone or rubber stamp tool.

4. Select the source point for the area you want to duplicate. For example, if the date is covering a section of grass, choose a spot in the grass that is not covered by the date as your source point.

5. Use the clone/stamp tool over the date until it is completely covered. If the date covers multiple areas (e.g., the grass and a person's leg), select new source points as needed. Try to select your source point as close to the date as possible without actually clicking the date.

6. Save the altered photo as a new file so that you still have the original if needed.
