Hard Reset The Sirius Radio Model St2r

The Sirius model ST2R satellite radio can be programmed with favorite stations and other settings. If the radio needs to be reset to its original state, a factory initialization procedure can be done. The factory initialization is also known as a hard reset, because it resets all programmed settings to the default factory settings. Once a factory initialization has been performed, the previous settings cannot be retrieved. All desired settings will need to be manually programmed after the reset.

Instructions

1. Press and hold the "Select" button to enter the "Setup" menu.

2. Press the "Mem Up" or "Mem Down" button until "Factory Init" appears on the display.

3. Press the "Mode/Band" button to bring up the "Initialization" menu.

4. Press the "Tune Up" or "Tune Down" arrow to select "Yes" when the "Are you sure" message appears on the display. Press the "Mode/Band" button to select.

5. Turn the ST2R off and back on again after the "Please Wait" message disappears and "Cycle Power" appears in the display. After you turn the unit off and back on, the reset is complete.
