Use 35mm Lens On Digital Camera

Put those old 35mm lenses to work on your new digital camera

If you own a digital 35mm SLR camera, it may be possible to afix your old 35mm SLR lenses to the newer camera, either with or without a lens adapter.

Instructions

1. Remove the lens from your digital camera. Hold down the small button found on the the side of the lens, then turn it counterclockwise. This unlocks the lens from the camera.

2. Locate the small, red dot on the top of the 35mm lens. This aligns with the red dot on the opening of the digital camera for the lens. Slide the lens into place, then turn it to the right. This should lock the lens onto the digital camera. If it doesn't lock, you will need to use a lens adapter.

3. Obtain the right adapter for your digital camera from your camera shop and connect it to the opening on the digital camera, the same way you afix a lens. Once the lens adapter is in place you may attach the 35mm lens to the adapter, the same way you attach the lens to the camera.
