Replace A Bulb On Dlp Projection Tv

All DLP projection TVs use an internal beam of light to convert a small picture into a larger picture to display on the screen. This beam comes from a lamp, or bulb, that has a limited lifespan. A dimming or dark screen and a blinking LED indicator are signs that the bulb needs to be replaced. The specific method of accessing the lamp varies by manufacturer and model, but most owners of DLP projection TVs can replace the lamp themselves.

Instructions

1. Find the lamp type and code on a sticker on the back panel of your TV. Use that information to order a compatible replacement lamp from your television's manufacturer or a parts distributor.

2. Turn off and unplug the television set and wait for at least 20 minutes for the lamp to cool down.

3. Unscrew and remove the lamp door, usually a square on the back of the television set. Use a flat-head screwdriver to remove all of the screws securing the door.

4. Unscrew and detach the lamp assembly.

5. Insert and secure the replacement lamp and replace the lamp door.
