Take Time Delay Pictures With Your A630

The Canon A630 is a small digital camera, but it has plenty of customization options and features. One of the features included with the camera is the option to take time-delay photographs. Time-delay photographs are generally used if you want to take a picture automatically. A time-delay group photo, for example, gives the photographer time to jump into the scene. Well-planned time delay photography can result in that iconic shot of cars on the freeway or the woodland scene of a rushing waterfall.

Instructions

1. Set up your camera in a secure and steady location if you plan on stepping away from the camera to be in the shot. View the scene through the lens to ensure the camera is positioned correctly.

2. Press the "Func/Set" button on the back of the camera. Scroll down and select "Drive Mode."

3. Press the "Right" arrow to select your time-delay option: "2 seconds," "10 seconds" or "Custom."

4. Select "Time" and make your choice with the "Right" arrow if you are choosing "Custom." Press "Down" and select the number of shots you want to take.

5. Press the shutter button to begin taking your time-delay pictures. Step into the scene if you plan on being in the photograph.
