Jvc Multideck Cd Player Troubleshooting

A JVC multi-deck CD player can record music from one CD onto another or simply ready more than one CD to play. Once the device is set up, you might have questions about correct issues with recording, playback or sound.

Recording

If you are trying to record a CD from another CD and the function is not working, eject the recordable disc, because the disc might have been placed in the tray upside down. Turn the CD over, and place it in the tray recordable side facing down. Eject the disc being recorded, and examine it for scratches or dirt. If it's dirty, clean it with a dry cleaning cloth. If it's damaged, replace it.

Playback

If either CD deck won't play a CD, condensation might have formed on the disc-reading lens inside. The CD player stops as a safety mechanism. Turn the power off, and allow the player to dry out and return to normal temperature for at least two hours.

Sound

If the inserted CD plays but produces no sound, a CD-R or CD-RW might have been inserted with no recorded tracks. The message "Blank Disc" appears on the display. Remove the disc from the player, and insert one with recorded tracks.
