Program A Uniden Bc92xlt Scanner

The Uniden BC92XLT scanner has 200 channels so you can listen to marine bands, NOAA frequencies, and police, fire and ambulance transmissions. There are 10 bands, and each band can have 20 frequencies programmed into it. The handheld scanner works on batteries and AC power so you can take it with you anywhere. The BC92XLT scanner has many features, including two-second delay, lockout and manual hold.

Instructions

1. Write down the frequency numbers that you will enter into the scanner. If you do not have a list of frequencies, use RadioReference from the Resource section to find local frequency numbers.

2. Program frequencies into the scanner by pressing "Hold" and entering the channel number on the keypad. Press "Func" and "Pgm." Use the number keypad to enter the frequency including the decimal point (./Clear). Press "E" to store the frequency. Repeat this step until you have entered all the frequencies. Press "Scan" to start scanning.

3. Set the delay channel if you want to hold the channel for an additional two seconds after the last transmission. Do so by pressing "Func" and "Dly" when the scanner stops on the channel. Manually select the two-second delay by pressing "Func" and "Pgm" and then the channel number. Press "Func" and "Dly" to select the two-second delay.

4. Lock out channels that have continuous transmission and interfere with scanning other channels by pressing "Func" and "L/O." To undo a lockout, manually select the channel that you lock out by pressing "Func" and "Pgm" and then the channel number, using the keypad. Press "Func" and "L/O" to restore the channel.

5. Listen to one channel and stop scanning by pressing "Hold" when the channel is transmitting. To start scanning again, press "Scan," and the scanner will start searching.
