Email On A Cingular Phone

Cingular, now AT&T, is one of the several cellular phone providers available on the market. Much like their competitors, AT&T offers a number of services outside of simply making phone calls. These services include text messaging, Internet access, and even the ability to send email. Sending an email using your cell phone is easy, and there are a number of different ways you can do it.

Instructions

Using Text Messaging

1. Go to the text message screen on your phone.

2. Type out the message you wish to send your recipient. Do this using the number pad on your phone or, if you're using a BlackBerry or iPhone, the lettered keypad that is on your phone or that will appear on your screen.

3. Enter the email address of the recipient into the "To:" box. Depending on the model of phone you are using, you will do this before or after you enter the email message you are sending. Saving the email address under the person's name in your contacts can save you time.

4. Click "Send" to send the email like you would a normal text message.

Using an Email App

5. Download and install an application that will link you to your personal email address. These can be found online at the AT&T website or through your phone's web browser. You can also find them by opening the mobile email icon on your phone's browser. If your email provider isn't offering an app, you must instead work with the phone's Internet browser to check and send email.

6. Sign in to the app using your email login and password.

7. Use the app to send and receive email similar to how you would a text message email.
