SDHD memory cards are compatible with the Canon Sureshot A550.

A 32-gigabyte card can hold more than 9,600 photographs from the Canon A550.

SanDisk manufactures the line of Extreme III SDHC memory cards that come in 4-, 6- and 16-gigabyte models. The cards come with a 10-year warranty and have write speeds of up to 20 megabytes per second. The cards come with a USB 2.0 card reader if your computer doesn't already have one built in.
Silicon Power
Silicon Power, a company in Taiwan, makes SDHC memory cards in a 4-, 8- and 32-gigabyte models. The cards come with a lifetime warranty and have write speeds of up to 17 megabytes per second.
Kingston
Kingston manufactures the Class 4 model of SDHC memory cards with 4- ,8- and 16-gigabyte capacities. The company also makes Class 6 models with 4- and 8-gigabyte capacities. The advantage of the smaller gigabyte models is that they operate at faster speeds. Write speeds average 9 megabytes per second for the Class 4 models, and 11 megabytes per second for the Class 6 types.
