If you have an MP4 movie on your Flip digital video camera, and you want to record it as a DVD that can be played in external DVD players, you can do so using programs that are already installed in Windows. Windows Media Player can transfer the video to your computer, and Windows VD Maker allows you to record the video to a DVD.
Instructions
1. Connect your Flip to your computer with the USB cord. Click "Start" on your desktop and select "Windows Media Player."
2. Click on the "Sync" tab. Find the MP4 file you want located under the Flip label in the bottom left of the Sync tab. Click and drag the file to the "Sync List" on the right. Click "copy from device" to transfer the MP4 to your computer.
3. Insert a blank DVD into your DVD burn drive. Select the option to Burn with Windows DVD Maker when it appears. The Windows DVD program opens. Click "add item." Double-click your MP4 video.
4. Click "Next" in the main screen. Click "Burn" to burn to DVD.
