Start A Conference Call On Your Blackberry

Instead of passing along information from a phone conversation from one person to the next, sometimes it's easier to join everyone on the same call. You can initiate a conference call on your BlackBerry smartphone using the phone's menu system. Once the calls are joined, you can talk privately with one person, or disconnect the person from the call without hanging up on the other participants. Some carriers even allow you to drop yourself from the call and leave the other parties connected.

Instructions

1. Call one of the people you want to join in a conference call. It doesn't matter which person you call first. Inform the person that you will be making a conference call.

2. Press the "Menu" button and select "Add Participant." The phone displays a list of contacts in the phone book. Highlight the person you want to add to the conference call, or type a new phone number.

3. Press the "Send" button. The first person is placed on hold while the second call connects. Once you have the second person on the line, press the "Send" key again to join the calls.
