Transfer Pictures From Computer to a SD Memory Stick


Digital photography makes it easy to take lots of pictures. If you want to give someone copies of pictures an SD media card is a convenient way to do it. Many notebook and desktop computers come with an SD card slot. Plus the cards are durable, lightweight and can pack a large quantity of memory into their small size.


Instructions


1. Make sure that the memory card is unlocked by checking the slide switch on the side of the card.


2. Insert the card into your computer's SD card slot. When the autorun menu comes up click "Cancel."








3. Right click on the Windows logo at the lower left corner of the screen. Click "Explore" on the menu that pops up.


4. Click on the "Pictures" logo in the upper left of the Explore window. Use the scroll bar in the lower left section of the Explore window to scroll down until you see all the drives listed, one of them will be the memory card and it will be labeled as removable memory.








5. Look in the right pane of the Explore window and you will see your pictures and picture folders. Hold down the "Ctrl" key on the keyboard and left click with your mouse the pictures and folders you want to move.


6. Keep the mouse button pushed after the last item. Drag the mouse pointer over to the icon for your memory card and release the button.
