Put A Watermark On A Photo In Lightroom 2

Put a Watermark on a Photo in Lightroom 2

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom allows photographers to post-process photos quickly and in bulk. Lightroom has become a standard tool for professionals throughout the industry. With Lightroom 3, Adobe added a method for watermarking photos to protect against unauthorized use. While a useful addition, it left previous-version users asking put a watermark on a photo in Lightroom 2.

Instructions

1. Download and install the LR/Mogrify 2 plug-in (see Resources) recommended by Adobe.

2. Launch Lightroom 2 and load a photo catalog with photos that are ready for export.

3. Select a photo and then choose "Export" from the File menu.

4. Double-click on "LR/Mogrify 2" from the post-processing actions window at the bottom of the Export dialog. A list will expand with additional LR/Mogrify 2 options. Double-click the "Graphical Watermark" option to add it to the export properties.

5. Set the watermark options in the dialog box that appears. Choose an image file to use as a watermark. Adjust the size option, watermark position and overlay option for how the watermark appears.

6. Select "Export" from the main dialog. Lightroom 2 will create the watermarked export images.
