Upload A Flip Video On Facebook

Cisco announced the end of Flip production in early 2011.

In 2007, Pure Digital Technologies introduced the Flip, an affordable pocket-size camera for capturing video instantly. In 2009, the Flip was purchased by Cisco and the line continued to evolve with new designs, sizes and features. The Flip can be easily plugged into a computer's USB port for a quick upload to a computer and from there, videos can be shared in multiple ways including Facebook. A Flip video can be uploaded to Facebook directly through the site or by using the Flip software.

Instructions

Direct Upload to Facebook

1. Log into Facebook with your email and password.

2. Click "Home" on the top blue bar. From the left hand pane, click "Photos," then "Video" from the sub-menu.

3. Select "+Upload Video" from the top of the page. Under the "File Upload" tab, click "Browse" to locate the Flip video on your computer. A new window will open. Select the Flip file on your computer and click "Open." The video will begin uploading to Facebook. When complete, it will appear in "My Videos."

FlipShare

4. Connect the Flip to a computer. Download and install the FlipShare software from the Flip Web site. Newer Flip models already have the software included.

5. Launch FlipShare once installed. Use the navigation pane to locate the folder on the computer that includes the video to upload. Click on the video to select it.

6. Click the icon containing the Facebook logo from the bottom of the workspace. A new window will open.

7. Select the button next to "Facebook" and click "Next."

8. Login using your Facebook email and password. Click "Connect." During the initial log in you will be asked to either allow or deny constant authorization. Allowing constant authorization will keep your Facebook information stored so that you do not have to log in each time you use FlipShare.

9. Choose how the video will be published. FlipShare allows you to decide if the video will be published to your Facebook wall, in your news feed or your applications. Click "Allow Publishing" or "Deny Publishing."

10. Click "Share" to begin uploading the video to Facebook.
