Change The Dimensions Of Digital Pictures With A Canon A540

The Canon A540 digital camera supports several different photograph dimensions to meet the needs of the photographer. Larger dimension images are shot at higher resolutions so the pictures do not end up as low quality prints. Smaller dimension images are a lower resolution and take up less space on the camera's memory card. Adjust the dimensions of your digital pictures to your preference before taking photographs.

Instructions

1. Press the "Func./Set" button in the middle of the navigation arrows on the back of the camera to access the functions menu. From this menu you can adjust several of the camera's settings.

2. Highlight the recording pixels menu setting by pressing the down arrow button. The icon for the recording pixels option is the letter "L" with a quarter circle attached to the back of it.

3. Change the pixels setting by pressing the left or right arrow button. The options range from large to small, and include postcard size and wide-screen sized images. The dimensions of each option appear on the screen when it is highlighted.

4. Save the new setting by pressing the "Func./Set" button.
