Creating a DVD is one of the most effective methods to hold a large volume of music. A Digital Versatile Disc or a DVD has a capacity of 4.5 gigabytes of storage, providing ample space for files, software, music and videos. Music DVDs are compiled in an MP3 format and can be played on a computer or DVD player.
Instructions
1. Compile your music in MP3 format. This will allow you to manipulate the title and recording quality of the music according to your choice.
2. Create new folders on your desktop. Transfer your music files to these folders. Purchase a writable DVD and DVD writing software online or from a local electronics store.
3. Install the DVD writing software on your computer and run it. Place a blank DVD in the DVD/CD writer drive, also known as the CD/DVD burner. Click the quick start menu which will give an option to make a music DVD.
4. Click the "Add files" dialog box. Choose the music files that you want to copy to the DVD. Click "Finish" or "Burn." The software will start writing to the DVD. This process can take anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes.
5. Select "Next" when the software prompts after the files have been written. The computer will eject the music DVD. Play the newly written music DVD in your computer or any DVD player to test the recording quality of the music. If the sound quality is not clear, change the specifications of the software and rewrite the music DVD.
