Troubleshoot A Sony Cybershot Disct1

The Sony Cybershot DSC-T100, an 8.1 megapixel compact digital camera that features 31 megabytes of internal flash memory, can be expanded using a memory card. You may occassionally run into problems using your Sony Cybershot DSC-T100 over the course of its life. Resolve problems with your Sony Cybershot DSC-T100 using some helpful troubleshooting techniques.

Instructions

1. Remove your Sony Cybershot DSC-T100's battery pack and leave the battery out for approximately one minute if your camera is locking up. During this period, the camera will reset itself which should resolve most glitches. Place the battery pack back into the camera and close the battery door. Power the camera on and take a test photo to ensure the device is functioning properly.

2. Place your camera in an area with room temperature if the battery indicator displays the wrong information. Extreme temperatures can cause the battery indicator to produce incorrect results. Drain the Sony Cybershot DSC-T100's camera battery until it no longer holds a charge. Place the battery back on the charger and wait until it completely recharges. Insert the battery back into the camera and resume using it. The battery indicator will now display the proper information.

3. Remove your Sony Cybershot DSC-T100's memory card from the bottom of the device if you are unable to save photo or video files onto it. Locate the gray "Lock/Unlock" tab on the left-side of the card. Slide the tab into the "Unlock" position and place the memory card back inside the camera. Take a test shot to ensure the camera can write to the memory card.
