Clean An Hp Photosmart A610 Printer

When you invest money in a piece of equipment like the HP Photosmart A610 Printer, you need to take care of it to ensure it performs for a long time. The effectiveness of the HP Photosmart A610 Printer can be compromised if dust or dirt particles get inside the machine, so keeping it clean is important. Cleaning the exterior of the HP Photosmart A610 Printer greatly reduces the chances of dirt and grime showing up on any color photos you print.

Instructions

1. Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

2. Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer and set it aside. Grasp the cord that is attached to the printer just under the USB port and pull gently.

3. Take out the HP Photosmart internal battery. Start by pressing the battery compartment button to release the compartment cover. Remove the battery compartment cover from the bottom of the printer. Set the battery aside and replace the compartment cover.

4. Use a clean, soft, slightly damp cloth to wipe down the exterior of the printer. Gently wipe the screen, buttons and exterior casing on all sides, including the bottom.

5. Pay special attention to the grooves and crevices in the paper tray. Too much dust or dirt there could affect the quality of printed photos.

6. Replace the battery and plug the power cord back into the printer. The clean printer is now ready to print more color photos.
