File Text Messages In A Phone

Text messages are a very common form of communication today. Short memos and long heartfelt messages can be passed along by this simple means of communication. However, the inbox on your cell phone can fill up very quickly and become cluttered. Filling text messages can be a simple way to avoid this clutter, while saving important texts you would like to keep on your phone.

Instructions

1. Identify which messages you want to file. Scroll through all the messages in your inbox and keep a mental note of those you want filed away.

2. Create folders to organize the messages you have identified. The specifics of this process are different on every phone, but the general concept is the same. Open your phone's menu option and select "Text Message" or "Message Center." On most phones, you can select the option "My Folders" at this point. The option to "Create a folder" will appear in the options below your list of existing folders. You may be able to create a folder straight from the Message Center or Text Message main page as well.

3. Select text messages and chose "More" or "Options." Then select "Move to my folders" or pick the folder you want to move it to, if the option immediately arises. If the former happens, select the folder you want to move the text message to from the pop-up list. On most phones this will accomplish the task. Some phones will ask if you are sure you want to move the text message, in which case you can select "Yes."
