Make A Sim Card Work In An Hp 6910

SIM cards are small memory units that are most commonly used in wireless phones. These cards can save the contact information of an individual in addition to pictures, MP3s and other phone related content. Fortunately, if you are looking to save the information from your SIM card, it is possible to connect the card to a computer, such as the HP 6910 laptop.

Instructions

1. Download a driver for the phone you currently use the SIM card with. See "Resources" for a link to various makes and models of cell phones. Select the make and model of the phone you have once you arrive at the site to view the available drivers for your phone.

2. Connect a USB data cable to the wireless phone. This is typically inserted into where the power cable is inserted.

3. Plug the other end of the cable into an available USB port on the HP 6910 laptop. In a moment the laptop is going to state it has detected a new piece of removable hardware.

4. Click "My Computer" ("Computer" in later releases of Windows), and you are going to see a removable device icon. Select the icon to open the SIM card. From here you can copy content to and from the SIM card with the HP 6910 laptop.
