A plasma screen is a TV screen that has compressed ionized plasma gas between two screens of glass. This gas forms different colors in order to bring a TV picture to your plasma screen. Special care needs to be taken for plasma screens in order to protect your investment. Plasma screens can be damaged if they are not cared for properly. There is a right way and a wrong way to clean a plasma screen.
Instructions
1. Place your plasma screen in an area of your home that allows it to rest on a stable surface. You don't want the plasma screen to fall as the glass can break easily. Also make sure your plasma screen has plenty of air around it. Plasma screens heat up quite warmly and need plenty of room to vent.
2. Tone down the brightness levels on your plasma screens when you are in a darker room. Having the plasma screens set on extra bright settings can not only cause damage to the eyes of those watching, but it can also cause the screens not to last as long. Turn the screens off when they're not being used.
3. Use only gentle cleaners on the plasma screen that are recommended for such use. Use an anti-static gentle cleaner for best results. Never spray the cleaner directly onto the screen.
4. Spray a few pumps of anti-static cleaner onto a micro fiber cloth. These cloths are made specifically to be gentle on monitors and sensitive screens. Don't use the cleaner on paper towels or tissues, as this can harm the screens. Gently rub the micro fiber cloth with the cleaner onto the plasma screen and clean off any dirt and grime.
5. Keep a plasma screen TV plugged into a surge protector. This way, if there's an electrical power surge your plasma screen is protected.
