Directions To Use A Hand Crank Flashlight

A hand crank flashlight is a great backup flashlight.

Hand crank flashlights are a vital piece of equipment to have in any home. Unlike an ordinary flashlight, hand crank flashlights do not require the use of batteries. They are instead powered by energy created from turning a crank on the side of the flashlight. As a result, as long as you are able to turn the crank, they are never in danger of losing power.

Instructions

1. Dislodge the crank from the flashlight. Most cranks are attached flush against the actual flashlight and need to be pulled out from the actual light so it can be cranked.

2. Turn the crank on the light. Make sure the flashlight it turned off to allow it to store energy from the cranking. Most lights offer a a decent amount of light as long as you crank it for a minute straight. However, each flashlight's capacity for holding onto the energy created by the cranking is different. Continue cranking for at least one minute.

3. Stop cranking and turn on the flashlight. The light will work until it begins to run out of energy that you created from the cranking. When it runs out of light, turn off the light and begin cranking again. Repeat the process for as long as you need to use the light.
