The Alinco DX-70 50-megahertz all-mode transceiver receives and transmits signals from home or vehicle. A handheld microphone plugs into the front panel and allows you to speak to others. While transmitting through the DX-70, you might experience sudden power loss. There are a few things you can do to troubleshoot the cause.
Cable
If the DX-70 doesn't have power, the DC power cable might be compromised. Disconnect the power cable from the back of the DX-70 to reset the connection. Allow a few seconds to pass and then plug the cable back in.
Fuse
If the transceiver is still without power, a fuse might have been blown. Inspect the fuse to determine the cause. The fuse might have been blown from an electricity surge. Correct the source of the surge and install a new fuse.
Power Supply
If the DX-70 is set up as a home base station and is without power, the power supply might be switched off. If you're using a power strip, confirm the strip is switched on. If the DX-70 is installed inside a car, confirm that the car battery is charged and the DX-70 cables are attached in accordance to proper polarity.
