Install Inwall Speakers With A Tv In The Corner

Installing speakers that are embedded in your walls is becoming a popular trend among home-audio equipment owners. The in-wall speakers provide a more discreet and custom look without sacrificing sound quality. If you've positioned your TV set in the corner of a room, the installation of in-wall speakers will remain relatively the same as if you had placed your TV anywhere else in the room.

Instructions

1. Measure the surrounding walls near your television and outline the holes for your in-wall speakers by using masking tape and a leveling measurer to ensure that the lines you've made are flat and even.

2. Leave the masking tape in place and drill a starter hole in the center of the tape frame, gradually increasing the circumference of the hole.

3. Cut the section of the wall within the tape frame into four pieces and remove each one by gently prying it out of place. Use your saw to cut the templates on the inside edge of the tape frame.

4. Remove any obstructing dry wall that may be behind your pieces of wall by hammering them out and then pulling the dry wall out to open up the template.

5. Run the speaker wires down through your wall, then drill an exit hole for them near the base of your floor, near your television in the corner of the room.

6. Insert the speakers into the speaker cavity you created in your wall and then run the speaker wires to the home-audio receiver that's connected to your television. If you wish, you can install speaker grills over your in-wall speakers that can be painted to match the rest of your room's interior.
